#1 – Snoopy
Snoopy, the world's most famous beagle and the beloved pet of Charlie Brown was created by Charles Schulz in his comic strip Peanuts.
Snoopy epitomizes the beagle character, and Charles Schulz got it right.
Many people are unaware that Charles Schulz included several beagles in his Peanuts cartoon.
Andy, Belle, Marbles, Spike, and Ugly Olaf were Snoopy's five brothers and sisters who frequently paid him visits.
#2 – Odie
Odie, Garfield's main sidekick in Jim Davis' comic strips, is nothing like Snoopy.
He's stupid, hyper, drools, and Garfield constantly kicks him off the table.
But, like some people, he's famous for his idiocy and constantly flapping tongue.
#3 – Brains
Inspector Gadget's companion was the adorable dog Brains.
Brains was a tan and white beagle in the first Inspector Gadget film and a tricolor beagle in the second.
Inspector Gadget 2 was shot in Queensland, and two of Movie World's stunt dogs played the role of Brains.

Is there anything cuter than a gang of criminal Beagles in red shirts attempting to rob an elderly duck? We think not!
Walt Disney's Duck Tales characters include The Beagle Boys, a gang of criminals.
They debuted in a ten-page story in 1951 and have been attempting to rob Scrooge McDuck since 1952.
#5 – Bagel
Bagel is famous by proxy, much like the child of a celebrity.
She was musician Barry Manilow's beloved first Beagle, and she appeared on several of Manilow's album covers.
Manilow, a proud dog mom got a beagle puppy named Bagel in the early 1970s, and she donated one to Marie Osmond on the Donny and Marie Show for her 18th birthday when she had beagle puppies.
Bagel died in the early 1990s, but his image lives on album covers in record stores' “easy listening” and “adult contemporary” sections.
#6 – Lyndon Johnson's Beagles
Former US President Lyndon B. Johnson owned several dogs, the most well-known of which were Him and Her, Beagles born in 1964. Beagles owned by the president brought joy to the White House during his tenure.
Frequently photographed walking dogs with President Johnson received backlash from the American people in 1964 when he lifted Him up by his ears while greeting a group of people on the White House lawn.
#7 – Beegly Beagly
Grape Ape's “Beegly Beagly” is an anthropomorphic beagle dog who appears as one of the main characters in The Great Grape Ape Show.
#8 – Beagle Character “Shiloh”
Shiloh is Phyllis Reynolds Naylor's 1991 Newbery Medal-winning children's novel.
It is Naylor's 65th novel and the first of a quartet involving a little child and an abused dog, the titular character.
#9 – Shoeshine from The Underdog
One of the Disney films in which a beagle appears.
Beagles have frequently appeared in Disney films.
